Extract: As you will be aware I am retiring from the Chief Nursing Officer post; and I am pleased to inform you that Jane Cummings has now been appointed as my successor. Jane is currently Chief Nurse for NHS North of England and was previously Chief Nurse and Deputy Chief Executive for NHS North West. Jane will be taking over as Chair of the Steering Group, and will be attending the next meeting in June.
